Job Description

**Sr. Event Planner**

at Pampered Chef Home Office - Addison, IL **Purpose:**

This role is critical to the success of the department in executing key incentive and merchandise programs that affect top field performance including the Eu and NA annual incentive program (CY/PY - earning and travel periods), Executive Incentive trip, sourcing awards, gifts, consultant logo merchandise and vendor and expense management.

**Responsibilities:**

* Manages key aspects of annual incentive program, including:

+ Works closely with Event Team leadership to develop motivating and exciting incentive travel programs at an appropriate value per budget

+ Site and venue searches and makes recommendations regarding destination locations and venues

+ Works closely with 3rd party travel vendor and leadership on contract negotiation for the best value to Pampered Chef and tracks ongoing contractual obligations

+ Leads website development content with 3rd party travel vendor

+ In partnership with Manager, develops proposals for marketing/communication plan, agenda and overall experience

+ Leads key contract dates, deposits, cancellations, invoices and mailings

* Tracks program budgets for costs, inclusions and deposit schedules/payments.

* Determine external support needed for incentive trips and identify incentive travel partners (DMC, transportation, etc.) and develop RFPs to deliver exceptional on-site experiences

* Utilize travel industry research to understand market opportunities and how we can leverage for travel programs

* Liaison with internal business owners and outside vendors for sourcing, development and procurement of promotional / gift logo item throughout the calendar year

* Event Standard Operating Procedure's Development & Maintenance

+ Leads department efforts for completion of 1099s

+ Develops timelines and workback schedules for deliverables on incentive programs

+ Ensures all timelines and SOPs are current

* Provides recommendations to leadership for budget, venues and vendors in order to reduce the bottom line and yet provide a meaningful experience for our Consultants

**Measures of Success:**

* This role will role up to the Manager KPIS which include:

+ Cost per achiever for incentive trip spend for NA and EU

+ Experience score of incentive events

+ Company sales kpi target

+ Company recruiting kpi target

**Education and Experience:**

* A bachelors degree is preferred

* 5+ years professional meeting experience / event planning experience (1000+ attendees experience preferred, 250+ required)

* Innovative and resourceful; actively seeks opportunities to improve meetings and events

* Experienced at contract negotiating and building partnerships with vendors as well as knowledge of creation and execution of RFP process

* Strong budget management skills (prefer experience with $1MM+ event budgets)

* Strong time management skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks efficiently

* Highly self-motivated and directed with experience working in a fast paced, team oriented collaborative environment

* Superior attention to detail; first class organizational skills

* Proficient in timelines and project management

* High energy, positive, professional attitude and calm attitude under rapidly changing circumstances, pride in work product

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Great team member: willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in to help your colleagues when needed

* Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) preferred
