Overview:

SOSi is seeking a natively fluent Spanish Linguist who will support a social media program in Tampa, FL. The candidate will develop and maintain expertise with designated regional issues and will draw upon publicly available online information resources. They will read, analyze, and draft communications regarding regional and ideological discussions in specified foreign language media environments.

Responsibilities:

• Examines current media statements or postings to support trend analysis and identifies key communicators.
• Demonstrates reading and writing expertise in the assigned language and incorporates custom social media solutions to comprehend online environments and communicate trends effectively.
• Supports operations planning.
• Demonstrates knowledge of online social media and different technologies, as well as documents activities, notes, informative papers, or whitepapers written in English.
• The ability to work nonstandard hours and in on-call status for periods of time will be required. 

Qualifications:

• Active in-scope TS/SCI Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related business or technical discipline.
• Requires 3+ years of related experience OR Associate’s degree in a related discipline and 7+ years of related experience, OR 9+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Master’s degree with 10 years of experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency equivalent to ILR 3 in reading & writing
  • Fluent in modern day Panamanian dialect including common slang.
• Deep understanding and familiarity with Panama’s popular culture and current societal and political events and issues.
• Strong written, oral (English) and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSINT experience.
• Military or Department of Defense experience.

• Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Must be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Some evening, weekend, or shift work will be required.
