Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, passionate Sommelier who will also work as a Server. This hybrid role is ideal for a wine enthusiast who loves guest interaction, enjoys sharing knowledge, and thrives in a service-driven environment. The Sommelier will curate wine pairings, assist guests in selecting wines, manage wine inventory, and provide full-service dining - earning both a competitive hourly wage and tips. Key Responsibilities: Recommend and sell wine selections, pairing thoughtfully with our seasonal dishes. Including but not limited to wines by the glass. Guide guests through our wine list, offering tasting notes, food pairing advice, and upselling when appropriate. Serve tables efficiently, providing an elevated dining experience from start to finish. Maintain knowledge of the food menu, daily specials, and beverage offerings. Assist with managing and organizing the wine cellar and inventory. Conduct wine training for staff to enhance overall service knowledge. Ensure wine service standards are maintained, including proper storage, decanting, and glassware presentation. Collaborate with management on seasonal wine list updates. Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Qualifications Qualifications: 2+ years experience as a Sommelier and/or Server in a high-end restaurant or bistro. Certified Sommelier (Level 1 or higher) from an accredited organization preferred. Deep knowledge and passion for wine, wine service, and food pairings. Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment. Strong team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
