SOLIDWORKS Designer Job Description

We are seeking a full-time SOLIDWORKS designer to collaborate on retail displays and in-store merchandising designs for an established global company. This position involves interpreting client sketches and working closely with the internal creative team to develop manufacturable products. You'll engage with materials like acrylic, sheet metal, and injection molding while ensuring designs are practical and high-quality.

SOLIDWORKS Designer Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and the creative team to transform sketches into manufacturable designs in SolidWorks.
• Ensure that creative designs are practical and buildable.
• Work with various materials, including acrylic, sheet metal, and injection molding, to create displays for small products.
• Conduct hands-on quality and fit checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Make necessary design adjustments during production to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain excellent communication and coordination with team members and clients.

SOLIDWORKS Designer Job Requirements :

• 5-7 years' experience with CAD
• Proficient with SOLIDWORKS - CWSP preferred
• Design for manufacturing
• Practice creating accurate BOMs, using proper dimensions
• Experience with Sheet Metal, Acrylic and Injection Molding/ VacForm
• Innovative creative problem-solving skills
• English fluency
• Must be on site in Toronto - 8am-5pm
• Other duties as assigned
