About the Role

Were looking for a Senior Manager, Communications to join our growing Communications & Content team. This role is ideal for a communications professional whos comfortable pitching national business media, crafting social posts, prepping spokespeople, and supporting companywide internal communications.

Youll report to the VP, Communications & Content and work closely with our spokespeople, head of content, and marketing colleagues to tell Figures story to a wide range of audiences including borrowers, B2B partners, employees, and the broader industry.

What Youll Do

  • Lead proactive media relations that support Figure across fintech, blockchain, capital markets, personal finance, and corporate news.
  • Work with agency partners, coordinate announcements, and cultivate relationships with toptier business, fintech, personal finance, and trade reporters.
  • Identify emerging media targets in traditional and new media.
  • Generate compelling story ideas that activate across channels such as our blog and social.
  • Prepare executives for media opportunities, including messaging, briefing documents, and interview support.
  • Coordinate media interview logistics with leadership and administrators; staff interviews virtually and inperson as needed.
  • Shepherd press releases and other content through legal and compliance review.
  • Manage reactive communications and monitor news cycles for timely opportunities or risks.
  • Help maintain the overall news calendar and coordinate announcement timing for crossfunctional PR initiatives.
  • Participate in strategy and execution for Figures organic presence on LinkedIn and Meta channels, coordinating with social media teammates.
  • Create and publish content that brings Figure to life with target audiences.
  • Partner with content, marketing, and design to develop social campaigns aligned with broader objectives.
  • Work crossfunctionally to develop appropriate influencer engagements.
  • Track engagement and analytics to inform content performance and audience growth.
  • Support internal communications, including monthly AllHands meetings and regular Slack updates on news and milestones.
  • Drive outreach for speaking opportunities, event panels, and award submissions.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, IR, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Sales to ensure message alignment.
  • Support executive thought leadership programs, including speaking engagements, opeds, and awards.
  • Maintain the communications calendar to ensure integrated storytelling across external and internal channels.

What We Look For

  • 57 years of experience in communications, public relations, or integrated marketingideally a mix of agency and inhouse roles.
  • Proven track record in relevant media.
  • Industry experience or familiarity with fintech, blockchain, lending, or financial services (B2B and consumer). Crypto and market infrastructure experience is a plus.
  • Experience handling organic LinkedIn and Meta channels.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, moving from technical topics to consumerfriendly narratives.
  • Highly organized and composed under pressure, managing multiple projects and reliably driving opportunities forward in a fastpaced environment.
  • Executive presence and discretion, collaborating with senior leaders.
  • History of outreach for speaking opportunities, event panels, and award submissions.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • Excellent judgment and a nose for news.

Preferred

  • Experience with both B2B and consumer fintech brands.
  • Existing relationships with fintech, business, or tech media.
  • Able to be based in Figures NewYork or SanFrancisco office.
  • Experience with Notion or similar collaboration tools.

Salary

  • Compensation Range: $125,000$175,000peryear.
  • 25% annual bonus target, paid quarterly.
  • Company equity in the form of RSUs.
  • Actual compensation may vary based on individual experience, location, or evolving business needs.
