Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

  • Part-Time to Full Time available (15-40 hours a week) 
  • Salary (starting at 40k) & Hourly positions (starting at $20 per hour) both available

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. As an RBT, you will play a key role in delivering behavioral support through evidence-based practices to assist our clients in achieving their individualized goals within our programming, as well as within the community.

Position Overview:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will be responsible for implementing behavior plans, collecting data, and working closely with adults with developmental disabilities in both individual and group settings. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to promote skill development, social integration, and overall well-being for clients served by The Garden Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Personalized Plans
  • Teaching functional communication skills
  • Data Collection: Accurately collect and record behavioral data according to the client's person centered plan.
  • Skill Development: Support clients in developing a variety of skills, including communication, social, academic, and daily living skills.
  • Behavioral Support: Implement strategies for managing and reducing challenging behaviors, using positive reinforcement and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to monitor progress and ensure plans are adjusted to meet each client's needs.
  • Family and Team Communication: Communicate effectively with family members and other team members to discuss client progress, concerns, and updates on plans
  • Ongoing Learning: Participate in regular training and professional development to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date on the latest behavior analytic techniques and best practices.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

  • Active certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a passion for working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable, responsible, and professional work ethic.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Must be 21 years and older
  • Required: High School Diploma and/or GED
  • Required: Agreement to transport individuals if deemed necessary
  • Required: Valid Driver's License 
  • Required: Valid Nevada Registration and active auto insurance policy
  • Required: A safe and working personal vehicle 
  • Required: A clean driving record 
  • Required: Proficient in Google Applications (google docs, sheets, slides, etc)
  • Required: Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification 
  • Preferred: Experience within Education ie- teaching, assisting in a classroom, currently in school studying education, etc. 
  • Preferred: One (1) year of verifiable work experience in health care, day care, mental health, education or related field. 
  • Preferred: Experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities
  • Preferred: Prior experience as an RBT or in a behavioral health setting
