Job Description

Ahern Painting Contractors is seeking a Quality Manager. As a Quality Manager you will be responsible for managing Quality Staff, developing and implementing project specific quality management plans, and oversight of all quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of quality staff who will perform checkpoint inspections for work pertaining to painting, steel repair, and concrete repair work.
• Maintain delivery logs for all construction materials including their manufacturers’ certifications and testing data.
• Review, compile, and submit all quality staff reports
• Deliver daily and monthly quality management reports that compile all quality staff reports, non-conformances, and quality related submittals
• Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, and supervisors to address any quality-related issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Monitor and ensure proper storage, handling, and use of all construction related materials.
• Participate in meetings and discussions with clients and other stakeholders to provide technical expertise and address any quality-related concerns.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• AMPP (formerly NACE, SSPC), ICC, CWI, ACI, ASQ, ISO-9001 certifications preferred
• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Manager or similar role
• Knowledge of coating inspection techniques, surface preparation methods, steel repair techniques, concrete repair techniques and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
• Prior experience in infrastructure projects, such as bridges, heavy civil, etc. is preferred.
