Job Description

is seeking a highly motivated, entry-to-junior level analyst/associate to join its investment team based in Dallas, Texas. The investment team focuses on fixed income investments in high yield tax-exempt bonds and is involved in every aspect of the firm’s investment process, including origination, evaluation, structuring, and execution. The analyst/associate will assist senior management and members of the investment team, including the following day-to-day responsibilities:

Conducting financial analysis and modeling to assist the investment team in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of the firm’s investments

Preparing internal and external presentations and proposals

Directly interfacing with developers, borrowers, and investment banks related to the firm’s existing and future investments

Writing of investment memorandum for presentation to the firm’s investment committee

Assisting with ad hoc analysis of the firm’s existing portfolio

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field

Experience using Excel to construct financial models for transactions

Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to analyze and communicate complex financial transactions in an easily digestible format

Comfort interacting and communicating with both internal and external senior management teams

Strong organizational and time-management skills, the ability to produce effectively in a fast-paced environment, and resolute attention to detail and accuracy

Strong knowledge of financial concepts, real estate, underwriting, and valuation
