Mission

The Mechanical Design Drafter’s mission is to use SolidWorks to produce 3D drawings for each high purity water system we build — while contributing positively to our team culture, collaborating across engineering, fabrication, and installation to deliver on our promise to customers: the best high purity water systems in the industry.

This role is central to our engineering and technical services department — the hub where every project flows in and out. Beyond producing drawings, you will be a partner to the engineering, production, and installation teams to bring clarity, efficiency, and enthusiasm to every project.

Outcomes

Success in this role will result in:

• 3D modeling for precision : Use SolidWorks to generate 3D models that improve accuracy in purchasing, streamline production, and support efficient installation.
• Collaboration : Work closely with Applications and Principal Engineers to fully understand each project’s design intent before drafting.
• Value-add detail : Provide plumbing take-offs from 3D models to support smooth project execution.
• Responsiveness : Respond quickly and clearly to requests from engineering, production, and installation teams (Zoom, email, phone).
• Knowledge sharing : Maintain and organize CAD libraries (SolidWorks and DraftSight) in cloud storage for use across all companies.
• Support across teams : Provide CAD expertise to production and install teams both in-shop and in the field as needed.

Reporting & Evaluation
