Salary: $19-21

Developmental Options is a private non-profit company serving the Pocatello area. This position works in the Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF) or sometimes referred to as a group home. Candidates work with children and adults who need support with activities of daily living such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, grooming, self-administration of medication, behavioral supports and accessing the community. This varies by home and client; some may need more support than others. 

Work Schedule: This position is full-time non-exempt and may require more than 40 hours per week. The regular work schedule will include variations of regular work hours, but may be required to cover some weekend or evening shifts. The hours of work will be determined upon hire. House Managers are expected to be part of the on-call manager rotation, paid at an additional stipend.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour, DOE. 6-month and 12-month pay increase based on performance evaluation with annual-evaluation based raises to follow.

Benefits: All employees accrue paid vacation and sick time after 6 months of employment. Other benefits are available (medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability insurance) based on position. After 1 year of employment, qualified staff have the opportunity to participate in the 401k (retirement) contribution with Developmental Options matching up to 5%.

Job Description: The House Manager is responsible for the training of all staff at their assigned ICF/ID (group home) location as well as the day-to-day operations of the home. House Managers ensure the quality and standards of care for residents are being met in addition to the daily interactions and staff management of their team. The ideal candidate will be have strong communication skills, an effective leader, and a positive role model to staff and residents alike.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience working an ICF/ID or Residential Habilitation Setting
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to pass Health and Welfare Background check; drug screen and adhere to a drug free workplace 
  • Complete ALL provided training classes within 90 days of hire (training classes are paid) 
  • Have effective communication skills 
  • Must be able to lift or move 50 pounds 

Preferred:

  • Prior managerial experience, preferably in a group home residential habilitation setting
  • Minimum of 21 years old with a valid driver's license and able to be approved as a company driver (ie clean driving record)
  • CPR certified
  • 18+ months experience working with adults and children with developmental disabilities
  • Employee schedule management experience
