Overview We represent a well-established civil and infrastructure contractor with a diverse project portfolio that includes commercial, residential, oil & gas, and solar work. The firm is seeking a highly experienced General Superintendent to be based on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah, to oversee large-scale projects and lead superintendent teams across multiple disciplines. This senior leadership role is critical in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with the highest safety and quality standards. The General Superintendent will provide day-to-day field leadership, resolve challenges proactively, and serve as the key connection between executive management and job-site operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and mentor superintendent staff across civil, commercial, residential, oil & gas, and renewable projects Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety requirements Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives Conduct regular job-site inspections to track progress, quality, and compliance Enforce safety and quality control programs across all phases of construction Review and approve project plans, schedules, and documentation Ensure compliance with building codes, DOT regulations, and industry standards Provide leadership, conflict resolution, and operational oversight to deliver successful outcomes Develop and maintain strong communication channels between the field and executive team Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of construction management experience, with at least 5 years in a direct supervisory role Strong background in civil infrastructure, combined with experience in commercial, residential, oil & gas, or solar projects Proven success delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam preferred) Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities Strong knowledge of safety protocols, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders Interviews are scheduled to take place next week.
