Role Overview
Position : Fiber Splicer Technician / Cable Installation
Purpose : Perform cable installations, splicing, fiber terminations, and maintenance of fiber optic systems.
Primary Responsibilities :
Install and splice cables.
Perform fiber terminations.
Test, certify, and document cable installations using splicing install prints.
Troubleshoot and repair minor technical issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of cabling and maintenance activities.
Use safety equipment while working indoors and outdoors.
Represent the company with professionalism and excellent customer service.
Experience :
2–4+ years of direct or related experience.
Copper splicing experience is preferred.
Certifications :
Telecom certifications are a plus.
Skills :
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Above-average customer service abilities.
Regulatory Requirements :
Willingness to undergo background and drug screening (including marijuana).
Safety-sensitive position regulated by DOT.
Licenses :
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Analytical thinking for troubleshooting.
Detail-oriented approach for technical work and documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service.
Technically skilled in fiber and copper splicing.
Certified in telecom-related fields (if applicable).
Reliable and safety-conscious.
Good communicator and problem-solver.
