Job Description

Farmers' Implement  is looking for mechanically inclined candidates with good attention to detail for the position of  Agricultural Equipment Technician.  We have both inhouse mechanic and field mechanic positions available.

Agricultural Equipment Technicians  need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced equipment and interact with team members on a daily basis from the field and in store

Agricultural Equipment Technician Responsibilities :

• Diagnose problems with malfunctioning farm equipment.
• Complete accurate reports about the repairs and relay repair information to customers.
• Maintain tools, service trucks, and paperwork/customer logs while in the field.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and determine equipment functionality.
• Repair engines, hydraulics, and electrical components.
• Read and interpret schematics.
• Communicate daily with Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
• Customer service including explanation of technical information to customers in clear terms.

Requirements :

• Must have the proper amount of own tools to complete repairs (laptops and EST tools will be provided)
• 3-year previous Agriculture/Heavy Mechanic experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components.
• Diagnostic skills.
• Physically fit and able to at least 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good organization skills.
