Workday Integration Analyst

6 Month Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Integration Analyst to join our client located in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Workday integrations to support HR, Payroll, Finance, and other business functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow between Workday and external systems while maintaining security, compliance, and data integrity. This is a mid-senior level role, ideal for someone with deep expertise in Workday integrations and a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & Maintain Integrations: Design, build, and support Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Workday Web Services (WWS), REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware tools.
  • Secure Data Transfers: Implement encryption, authentication, and security best practices for outbound and inbound integrations, ensuring compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
  • Workday Configuration & Optimization: Configure integration security roles, business processes, and calculated fields to optimize data flow.
  • Vendor & Third-Party Integrations: Manage and support integrations with third-party vendors such as payroll providers, benefits platforms, identity management (SSO/MFA), and ERP systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Performance Monitoring: Identify and resolve integration issues, monitor performance, and optimize system reliability.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain technical documentation, integration diagrams, and security policies to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external partners to gather requirements, define integration needs, and ensure successful deployments.
  • Automation & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate repetitive integration tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Workday integration experience in a mid-senior role.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and XSLT transformations.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security models, including access control and authentication methods (OAuth, SAML, API keys).
  • Experience with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT business processes as they relate to Workday integrations.
  • Familiarity with middleware solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato) and database management (SQL, XML, JSON).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze logs, error messages, and API responses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Integration Developer or Security Certification.
  • Experience with Cloud Security, IAM (Okta, Azure AD), and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.
  • Prior experience in a global enterprise environment with complex integrations.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
