Special Line Assembly Operator with specialized expertise in European-style tilt-and-turn vinyl windows and doors. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in precision assembly, hardware integration, and quality control for tilt-and-turn systems, ensuring compliance with European manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities - Expertly assemble European tilt-and-turn vinyl windows and doors, ensuring structural integrity, smooth operation, and airtight sealing.
- Read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions, with a focus on European manufacturing specifications.
- Utilize specialized tools and machinery, including welding, milling, and precision cutting equipment, to fabricate and assemble vinyl profiles.
- Perform high-precision measurements and adjustments to meet exact tolerances required for tilt-and-turn mechanisms.
- Install and calibrate specialized hardware such as multi-point locking systems, hinges, gaskets, and weather seals to ensure smooth and secure operation.
- Conduct rigorous quality control inspections at each stage of assembly, checking for proper alignment, sealing, and functional operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including material inconsistencies, misalignments, and mechanical defects.
- Work efficiently within a batch production environment, meeting daily targets without compromising quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict safety and lean manufacturing protocols.
- Continuously improve production processes, participating in lean initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications and Requirements: Essential Qualifications - Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in tilt-and-turn vinyl window and door manufacturing or a closely related industry
- Deep understanding of European-style tilt-and-turn systems, including frame construction, hardware fitting, and sealing techniques
- Proficiency in operating industry-specific tools and machinery, including CNC cutting, welding, and multi-point hardware assembly
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills, with the ability to work with precise tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and specifications, ensuring exact execution of assembly processes
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to assembly and quality control
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly and standing for extended periods in a production environment
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Willingness to relocate to the Huntsville area
Preferred Skills: - Experience working with German or European tilt-and-turn hardware brands such as Roto, Siegenia, or Winkhaus
- Knowledge of thermal break and reinforcement techniques for energy-efficient vinyl window and door construction
- Familiarity with welding and corner cleaning techniques specific to vinyl window production
