Job Description

The Web Designer will be responsible for creating compelling and user-friendly web designs. You will work closely with our marketing team and clients to ensure that the websites we produce are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and aligned with our goals.

A successful candidate must be able to:

  • Create visually compelling website designs that meet specifications and enhance user experience.

  • Work closely with project managers and developers to understand requirements and implement designs correctly.

  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces focusing on usability and accessibility.

  • Produce high-quality graphics, icons, banners, and other web elements as needed.

  • Support product catalogs and program presentations.

  • Support and leverage digital asset creation, tagging, naming, and categorizing.

  • Conduct website testing and work with marketing to incorporate brand elements and relevant market research findings into website browsing and shopping experience.

  • Ensure website navigation and browsing function stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet.

  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all web projects by adhering to brand guidelines.

  • Stay updated with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies to keep our designs cutting-edge.

  • Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to designs.

  • All other duties assigned.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Big Commerce, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and other relevant software.

  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and best practices.

  • Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in a Web Designer role.

  • This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, computer work, and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
