Van Horn Automotive is now hiring for a Shuttle Driver!

The Van Horn Valet/Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely driving customer vehicles and customers to their destinations as scheduled. This position requires someone who is comfortable with continuous improvement changes to meet changing expectations while maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude.

The person in this role is highly organized, customer service minded and a skillful communicator. Someone who is motivated by continuous improvement; an encouraging outlook, while maintaining unity and teamwork. This person would constantly exhibit ethical behavior, provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers.

This is a hands-on, customer facing position and the candidate will be responsible for representing themselves and the company in a professional manner as well as performing duties of the department as directed by their supervisor.

Hours: Part Time On Call

Your Responsibilities:

• Safe pick up and delivery of vehicles from other dealerships, businesses or private residences as directed by the supervisor
• Practice defensive driving skills
• Visually inspect and photograph all vehicles being picked up for interior and exterior damage and documenting any damage found
• Complete necessary paperwork upon pick up of vehicle
• Provide receipts for expenses incurred while driving
• Plan the safest, most efficient route
• Escort customers to their home, business or other destinations upon request
• Sustain a working knowledge of all scheduling platforms
• Oversee daily operations of their direct reports (drivers, dispatchers, etc.)
• Comfortable with phone system setup and minor changes within program setting
• Prime relationships with customers (past, present and future)
• Provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction
• Maintain positive relationships with co-workers both in the office and at different store locations
• Ability to work well with other employees and departments within the company

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class D Driver’s License with good driving record
• Professional personal appearance
• Customer service experience is a plus
• Strong multi-tasker with organization and communication skills
