KVEO (CBS 4 and NBC 23) in South Texas offers year-round opportunit ies for students to apply classroom theory to practical experience. Our intern ship program allows students to experience firsthand the reality of working in the TV/Digital broadcasting industry. Intern s can test their creative talent, exercise their analytical skills, and increase their understanding of broadcasting operations and trends.
Our intern ships o ff er meaningful educational and work experiences designed to meet the academic and career goals of the intern . Our management team will teach and encourage, but it's up to the student to bring the enthusiasm to learn. Because intern ships at KVEO are designed for learning experiences only, they are unpaid .
Intern ships can be for digital producers, reporters, photographers, editors, and newscast producers, to name a few. They will work with producers, reporters, and other newsroom employees and receive feedback on their efforts. Station managers will oversee the intern ship to evaluate, monitor, and assess the intern 's progress and ensure they receive the proper education/training.
