Job Description & RequirementsReq: 822389\nJob Details: MS Tele Interim Manager \n\nPosition Overview: \nUnit Type: Management \nDivision: Nursing \nCare Setting: Acute Care \nShift Length: 12 hours \nGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week \nExperience Required: Minimum 3 years \nLicense to Submit: Yes \nBSN Required: No \nOrientation Hours: 12 hours \nRequired Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS \nShift Schedule: Night shifts with every other weekend (EOW) required; first to float. \n\n\nUnit Details: \n\nGeneral Information: \nUnit Coverage: All Med-Surg Tele Units \nNumber of Beds: 27 \nPatient Ratios: \n - 1:5 for Med-Surg patients \n - 1:4 for Chemo/Tele patients \n\nTeam Structure: \nCharting System: Cerner (Required) \nCharge Nurses: Nurse Shift Managers who do not take patient assignments; a resource nurse is available for support with tasks and breaks. \nNurse Aides: Target of 2 aides per shift. \n\nAdditional Unit Details: \nWeekend Requirement: One weekend shift every two weeks. \nHoliday Requirement: 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday. \nScrub Color: Navy. \nTele Monitoring: Remote with dedicated monitor technicians. \nVentilators: None. \nHospitalist Coverage: In-house 24/7. \nIV Team: No dedicated IV team; resource nurse available. Teams available for PICC and midline placements. \nRT & Pharmacy Availability: Both are staffed 24/7. \nCall Requirement: None. \nFloating: Required to other Med-Surg units as needed. \nFloor-Specific Orientation: One shift for Cerner training (if required) and two shifts on the unit for orientation. \n\nPatient Demographics & Common Cases: \nCommon Diagnoses/Procedures: \n - General Med-Surg (e.g., GYN, appendectomies, cholecystectomies). \n - Orthopedic cases (e.g., spine and joint surgeries). \n - Oncology (7 private suites for patients with an oncology history). \n - Pediatrics (patients 15 years and older). \n\nExclusions: \n - No acute strokes or acute cardiac patients. \n - No drip medications required. \n\nKey Requirements & Additional Notes: \n- Strong central line experience is a must. \n- Compassionate care with a focus on patient education and meaningful engagement. \n- Candidates with strong charge nurse experience will be considered.
