Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Hospice for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Registered Nurse - Hospice -
Minimum Experience required: 1.5 years (MH requirement)
Will you accept a first-time traveler? If they have experience in hospice and home health
Travelers must live >100 miles away from facility
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
Patient Types: Home Health and Hospice
Patient Ratios: RN: Approximately manage a case load of 20-25 patients
Required Certifications: RN: BLS; Valid Driver's License, CNA: BLS; Valid Driver's License
Required Education: RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Skills required: RN: Oasis, hospice philosophy, infection control practices, wound vacs, wound care, picc line dressing changes, port access, IV infusions, drains, critical thinking skills, catheter insertion, drains
Ability to drive at night
CNA: Ability to drive at night
Support on the Unit: CNA: yes - provided to patient in home, Phlebotomy: nurse draws lab in home, IV/VAT Team: Nurse provides
Charting System: Epic Remote
Floating: No
Orientation: (facility and unit) We orientate in the field.
Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every third weekend
Will they be on call? Yes, approximately one 12-hour call shift a week
Holiday Expectations: will work Holiday
Scrub Color: Any color of scrubs or business casual dress
