Job Description

Senior IAM Product Manager – Pearson Location: U.S. – Remote (U.S. Eastern Time preferred) Job Summary: Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS) seeks an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our Identity & Access Management (IAM) program. The role focuses on modernizing the platform with a focus on enterprise identity solutions, cloud architecture, and generative AI innovation. Responsibilities Develop and own the product strategy and multi‑year roadmap for the PVS IAM program, ensuring alignment with platform modernization goals. Guide the IAM initiative, building a next‑generation identity service for all user types and implementing modern authentication/authorization protocols, SSO, and robust lifecycle management. Serve as product lead, coordinating cross‑functional teams (engineering, architecture, security, UX/UI, business stakeholders) and driving decisions through influence. Introduce and champion generative AI and agent‑driven tools to improve product discovery, development, and testing. Oversee end‑to‑end execution: define PRDs, features, acceptance criteria, maintain groomed backlog, and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Collaborate with stakeholders across product verticals and executives, communicating progress and insights. Make informed technical decisions, evaluating identity management complexities and cloud architecture trade‑offs. Stay abreast of industry trends, identify opportunities for new technologies, and foster a culture of experimentation. Define KPIs and success metrics, track outcomes, and use data to guide product direction and demonstrate value. Mentor junior product managers, share best practices, and act as a consultant for other teams. Required Qualifications 8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of delivering end‑to‑end initiatives, preferably in IAM or related technical platforms. Deep knowledge of identity and access management principles, authentication/authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML), directory services, user lifecycle, and compliance (FERPA, GDPR). Technical acumen to discuss cloud platforms (AWS preferred), microservices, APIs, and event‑driven architecture; understanding of AI/ML concepts applied to products. Exceptional cross‑functional leadership, influence, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with backlog prioritization and sprint planning. Innovation mindset, with a history of deploying generative AI, automation, or intelligent agents into product processes. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree considered a plus). Preferred Qualifications Extensive hands‑on IAM implementation and scaling experience, including security and regulatory compliance. Background in EdTech or data‑driven industries, familiarity with education data standards (Ed‑Fi, LTI). Direct experience managing AI/ML product features or integrating AI into product workflows. Relevant cloud and security certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner/Architect, CIPP, CISSP). Experience leading initiatives in large, matrixed organizations. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $135,000 – $175,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Eligible for an annual incentive program and benefits as described on the company website. Application Window Applications accepted through November 7, 2025 (subject to extension). Equal Opportunity Pearson is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a member of E‑Verify.
