Security Guard - Armed Defense Patrol

As a Security Guard - Armed Defense Patrol in Rancho Cordova, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in the aerospace and defense sector, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents at a dynamic location. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and embody our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork while supporting a secure environment.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor access points and check credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.

Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Maintain detailed logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and/or site-specific guidelines.

Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents at the location.

Participate in site-specific training and maintain required certifications for carrying a firearm while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

An armed guard card or license is required.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Baton certification is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
