A regional metals company is searching for a new Safety Manager to oversee the Safety programs at their facilities across the Eastern US. This key leadership role is responsible for advancing health and safety management programs across multiple sites. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of safety, and championing continuous improvement.

The Role:

As the Regional Health and Safety Manager, you will lead and support a dedicated team of health and safety professionals to ensure regulatory compliance and uphold the highest workplace safety standards. You will be accountable for developing and implementing safety programs, conducting thorough incident investigations, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance overall safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of Health & Safety professionals across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and subject matter experts to design and execute comprehensive regional health and safety programs.
  • Analyze safety data to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for proactive hazard mitigation.
  • Lead incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions and improved safety outcomes across all sites.
  • Manage safety reporting processes, budgeting, and resource allocation to align with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in health and safety management, preferably in a regional or multi-site capacity, within the warehousing, transportation, or recycling industries.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • B.S. degree preferred, but not required.
  • GSP or ASP preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal and provincial health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to frequently travel across the Eastern US.
