Required Experience
We're looking for a skilled, hands-on, fullstack software engineer. This person will need to get up to speed on complex code and tax logic quickly and mostly independently. It is not a project for junior engineers or those who require a lot of direction. The following technical skills are required.
need to be comfortable, if not necessarily expert, with Java/Spring Boot
willing to take on front-end work as required
Solid fundamental front-end skills: HTML/CSS/DOM without necessarily relying on a framework like React
This engineer should be comfortable with a fast pace on a high-profile project that expects constant delivery. It's meaningful work and the team is wonderful, but it's challenging and everyone puts in work.
In addition, like anyone at Truss, this person should have excellent communication skills, and high emotional intelligence.
Additional Project/Team Details
Attend all required Sprint Ceremonies and related meetings
Maintain active communication using Slack, Email and Teams
Engage with Truss Delivery Management to: Accurately report hours
Report work completed on a weekly basis
Work with Technical product manager, designers, delivery managers, and engineers to: Define tickets in order to accomplish product roadmap goals
Commit to scope of work accomplished in 2-week sprints
Work transparently and work with team/stakeholders/internal dependents to solve impediments
