Title: QA Tester

Location: Remote USA

Duration: 6 months

Must Have:


  • QA/Testing
  • Test Management tools and QA Methodologies

  • Familiarity with Smartsheet, ServiceNow Virtual Boards, and Jira


About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/Testing professional to support ongoing IT projects. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of deliverables through comprehensive testing and close collaboration with development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Perform quality reviews and unit testing of development items.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Develop test plans and scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Design, develop, and execute test scripts using open-source tools.
  • Track and report UAT status and progress.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Document testing phases, results, and defects clearly.
  • Conduct post-release testing and assist in troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to resolve defects.
  • Monitor debugging process results and track quality assurance metrics.
  • Ensure data integrity by implementing QA practices and identifying failure points for resolution.


Preferred Skills & Tools
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet, ServiceNow Virtual Boards, and Jira (preferred but not required).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and regression testing.
  • Ability to create and execute manual and automated test cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Qualifications
  • Proven experience in QA/Testing roles.
  • Knowledge of test management tools and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).


Additional Expectations
  • Develop in-depth system and application knowledge on the Mendix platform to ensure high test quality and coverage.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate data before and after testing procedures.
  • Apply best-practice testing strategies for new and existing products to meet business needs.
