Are you an experienced Litigation Attorney with a passion for public entity defense? If you are driven, dedicated, and ready to make a significant impact in the Legal industry, we want to hear from you. We are seeking a Litigation Attorney-Public Entity Defense to join our dynamic team. This role will involve working on high-profile cases, providing legal advice to public entities, and representing them in civil, state, and federal litigation.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Attorney-Public Entity Defense, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Representing public entities in civil, state, and federal litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and managing all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution.
2. Providing legal advice to public entities on a wide range of issues, including municipal law, government law, and local government laws.
3. Advocating for clients in court, at administrative hearings, and in arbitration proceedings.
4. Negotiating settlements on behalf of public entities.
5. Conducting legal research and preparing legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings.
6. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates on case progress and legal developments.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have:
1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
3. A minimum of 1 year of experience in civil litigation, state litigation, federal litigation, municipal law, government law, and local government law.
4. Proven experience representing public entities in litigation.
5. Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
7. Demonstrated commitment to public service and a strong interest in public entity defense.
8. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
