Job Overview Expert Plumbing & Heating, Inc is actively hiring a dependable and experienced Plumbing Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for a field-savvy technician with experience in both residential and commercial plumbing systems. You will be responsible for executing installations, repairs, and maintenance across a range of projects-from multi-family developments to high-end renovations and service calls. Website: Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, venting, and fixtures)
- Work across residential, commercial, and new construction projects
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide efficient, code-compliant solutions
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings using proper tools and techniques
- Ensure compliance with NYC plumbing codes, safety standards, and project specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and fellow team members
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and complete daily reports as required
- Support inspections and testing of completed systems for functionality and safety
Qualifications - Minimum 4+ years of plumbing experience in residential and/or commercial settings
- Gas certification (required)
- Strong understanding of NYC plumbing code and installation practices
- Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team, managing tasks with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in occupied units, job sites, and commercial buildings
- OSHA 10 or 30 and SST training preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- Reliable, professional, and committed to high-quality workmanship
