Job Description:
Responsibilities: - Provide knowledge of integrated design processes pertaining to requirements management (RM), requirements traceability (RMT), configuration management (CM), change control principles, standards, and best practices through the design, licensing, construction, and decommissioning life of the BWRX-300.
- Establish global Configuration Management (CM) capabilities for Collaborative Lifecycle Management for NPP Requirements Management (RM) and change control application.
- Develop, implement, and execute the design process and requirements management practices procedures, and tools to facilitate advancement of the design across disciplines and organizational boundaries and our customers for the BWRX-300 project.
- Develop requirement hierarchy strategy and structure for the implementation of RM/RMT to capture the flow down of technical requirements from the Basis of Design (BoD), Safety Case Development, and EPC Functional Specification to the Technical Specifications and other design deliverables.
- Provide strategy for prioritization of scope of traceability, using graded and stepwise
- pproach solutions.
- Lead the planning and development for the integration of the RM/CM process across engineering.
- disciplines to ensure a coordinated work effort.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering an engineering discipline.
- t least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity.
- Experience working with requirements management software and processes (Rational DOORs, preferred).
- Experience with Nuclear Island, Turbine Island, and BOP plant systems.
Characteristics:
- In-depth knowledge of BWR plant systems, including Mechanical, Electrical and I&C design bases and interfacing design requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of plant safety assessment framework using approaches to design and analysis according to structured defense-in-depth principles to solve problems related to power plant complexity, over-classification, and cost.
- Experience in developing plant-level architecture design approaches and plant safety case justifications.
- Extensive industry experience with licensing of Nuclear Power Plants, including development of ITAACs to meet regulatory approval, including construction and implementation challenges.
