Sanford Clinic has an opening for a Hospitalist to provide medical care to patients of Bemidji, MN and the surrounding area.
POSITION TITLE: Hospitalist (multiple positions available)
POSITION DUTIES: Diagnose, treat, or provide continuous internal medicine medical care to hospital adult inpatients. Duties include examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitative services. More specific duties include but are not limited to: prescribing medications or treatment regimens to hospital inpatients; admitting patients for hospital stays; writing patient discharge summaries and send them to primary care physicians; conducting discharge planning and discharging patients; ordering or interpreting the results of tests such as laboratory tests and radiographs (x-rays); communicating with patients’ primary care physicians upon admission, when treatment plans change, or at discharge to maintain continuity and quality of care; referring patients to medical specialists; social services or other professionals as appropriate; participating in continuing education activities to maintain or enhance knowledge and skills and attending inpatient consultations in areas of specialty.
TRAINING: 36-month Internal Medicine Residency. Number of months of training required is dependent upon the number of months necessary to complete medical training leading to completion of a Residency in Internal Medicine.
LICENSE: Minnesota state medical license or ability to obtain. BC/BE
Compensation Package
Sanford Health offers a nationally competitive compensation plan with an additional physician benefits package including a health, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, CME allowance, allowed time away, malpractice insurance and tail coverage, and a relocation allowance.
Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $265,803 - $343,980 plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs.
Additional incentives may be offered. Actual compensation offers may vary and are determined based on multiple factors including education, training, certification, experience, scope of practice and actual job requirements.
