Description General Summary: Applies Passive Countermeasure System (PCMS) tile to various ship structures. These functions include the repair and/or removal of old materials; the installation and fit up of new structural materials using approved procedures and glues, adhesives and fasteners.Job Location: Norfolk, VA.Principal Duties/Responsibilities: Prepares surfaces for the application of PCMS tile. Knowledge of the processes and procedures necessary for the proper removal of old materials with minimal damage to surrounding materials. Uses prescribed tools for shaping and fitting sheet and tile type materials using required glues and adhesives. Traveling requiredRequirements and Experience: Must have at a minimum Level 1 PCMS Tile Certification with 6 months experience. Level 2 PCMS Tile Certification with 2 years' experience is preferred. Must have relevant U.S. Navy shipboard experience. Must have previous PCMS Tile Installation experience. Must be a United States Citizen. Have no criminal record. Ability to climb on scaffolding to perform elevation work and mast work.
