Part‑Time Payroll Specialist (Remote/Hybrid – Sumter, SC Area)
Pay: $30–$35/hour
Schedule: Part-time, 2–3 days/week

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis and support a high-profile project in the Sumter, SC area. This role will focus on payroll processing and ensuring full compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act for the duration of the project. While the position is primarily remote, the ideal candidate must reside near Sumter, SC and be available for occasional on-site visits or meetings as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately in compliance with federal, state, and project-specific regulations.
• Prepare certified payroll reports in adherence to Davis‑Bacon Act requirements (training provided).
• Maintain documentation to support wage determinations and labor compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Address payroll inquiries and maintain effective communication with the team.

Qualifications: 

• Prior experience in payroll or related HR functions required.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with federal labor compliance (Davis‑Bacon) is a plus — we’ll provide training.
• Must reside within commuting distance of Sumter, SC and be available for occasional in-person meetings.
