Overhead Crane Operator

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent steel manufacturer in the Woodstock, AL area, is seeking general laborers to join their team! This is a non-climate controlled facility offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing!  

Overhead Crane Operator Job Summary:

• Pay: $17.00 an hour
• Shift Available:
• 1st Shift: 4am-12:30pm 
• 2nd Shift: 7:30p-3:30am
• Operate crane to lift, move, position and place equipment or materials.
• Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas.
• Operate crane to load and unload ship cargo at port side.
• Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment.
• Operate overhead crane to relocate parts
• Meet daily goals through teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Perform all general laborer tasks and assignments in a safe and timely manner
• Ensure equipment and workstations are cleaned daily
• Support and communicate with Team Leaders on a daily basis

Overhead Crane Operator Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills - fractions & decimals
• Attention to detail and ability to detect quality defects
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly and follow detailed work instructions
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
