Network Security Engineer
Location: Westlake, Texas (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Candidate Preference: Local to Westlake, TX or nearby areas.

Work Authorization: W2 only

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

Automation & Scripting: 2-4 years of experience in automation using Python.

Version Control: 2-4 years of experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Firewall Expertise: Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls.

Security Certifications: One or more industry-recognized security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, etc.).

Information & Network Security: 5+ years of experience in information and network security.

Software Development: 4+ years of software development experience or equivalent.

Scripting & Automation Tools: Experience with Python, Perl, Java, Ansible, and GitHub.

Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of network concepts and protocols.

Information Security: Advanced knowledge of information security principles and best practices.

Firewall & IPS: Extensive experience with firewall and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) technologies.

Security Automation: Experience working with automation/management tools like XSOAR, Skybox, and Ansible.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, IPS, and other security technologies.

Automate security tasks and processes using Python and Ansible.

Collaborate with other security teams to ensure comprehensive protection of the network infrastructure.

Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.

Monitor and respond to security incidents.

Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
