Join to apply for the Monitor Tech role at MedStar Health MedStar Health is seeking a Monitor Technician to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. The Monitor Technician will monitor patients on telemetry consoles and ensure accurate documentation and alarm management. Primary Duties Document cardiac rhythm every two hours on the EKG flow sheet and report changes immediately to nursing staff. Maintain charge requisitions and alert nursing personnel about electrode replacements or new patient connections. Operate the Monitoring Console safely and effectively, ensuring supplies are stocked and monitoring assigned telemetry consoles. Obtain and interpret monitor strips at the start of each shift, documenting date and time, and file appropriately. Provide verbal reports to relief staff and patient reports to incoming technicians. Verify and adjust alarm limits as appropriate for each patient, ensuring alarms are active at all times. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience in emergency situations and maintaining continuous cardiac rhythm strips. Completion of a Monitor Technician Program.
