Now Hiring: Metal Fabricators Technicians
Location: Throughout the Twin Cities, including Brooklyn Park, Rogers, Elk River | Pay: $18–$40/hr depending on position, shift and experience.

Midwest Staffing is looking for experienced Metal Fabrication Technicians who take pride in their work and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for transforming raw or machined parts into production-ready components that meet the highest standards for safety, durability, and appearance.

Whether you're a seasoned grinder or a detail-focused deburring technician, we offer a place where your skills matter, your contributions are recognized, and craftsmanship is respected.

Your Impact:

• Operate grinders, belt sanders, and other finishing tools to remove welds, burrs, and imperfections
• Deburr and smooth the edges of metal or plastic parts to prepare for assembly, painting, or shipment
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to achieve precise finishes and tight tolerances
• Conduct quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Polish and finish surfaces to meet both aesthetic and performance standards
• Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring safe, efficient operation
• Assist with general shop operations, including welding prep, material handling, and inspection
• Work safely and collaboratively in a clean, organized environment

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in metal finishing, grinding, deburring, or related manufacturing roles
• Confidence using hand and power tools such as grinders, files, and polishers
• Ability to read blueprints, follow written instructions, and meet quality specifications
• Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and teamwork

Technical Strengths We Value:

• Metal grinding, edge deburring, and polishing
• Surface preparation for coating or painting
• Familiarity with shop safety procedures and material handling
• Experience in a fabrication or machine shop environment

• Weekly Pay

• Competitive pay based on experience and role:
• • Grinder: $20–$24/hour
  • Deburring Technician: $18–$40/hour
  • Router Technician : $20 - $23/hour
  • Welder: $20-28/hour DOE
• Full-time and contract opportunities (40+ hours per week)

Available Schedules:
Multiple shifts and start times are available based on the location and departmental needs. Positions are on-site at our clients' offices.
