Job Details

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-4 (or more) years of relevant MEP design experience with primary focus on mechanical and plumbing.
• Experience using AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Experience in completing design and construction documents in an architectural or engineering firm.
• Ability to create and modify CAD dynamic blocks and Revit families.
• The ability to produce quality construction documents.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Effective verbal and graphic communication skills.
• Effective organizational and collaborative skills.
• Effective time management skills.

Preferred Education and Training

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-Accredited Engineering program, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
• EIT Certification or PE License is preferred.
• Major coursework in or related to drafting and/or architecture.
• Relevant architecture and/or engineering experience.

Responsibilities and Roles:

• Provide MEP engineering designs for multidiscipline projects.
• Provide CAD and BIM support for the firm’s design projects.
• Assist teams with project startup, workflow and coordination.
• BIM modelling and CAD drafting support during the planning, design, and construction phases of various projects.
• QA/QC issues and perform the necessary research and exploration to develop solutions that respond to the specific automation needs and demands of a project.
• AutoCAD and Revit file management.
• Create/modify/update Revit families and CAD blocks as needed.
