Job Description

This is a remote position.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern with a passion for social media fundraising and nonprofit work to join our team. This intern will play a key role in managing and executing our social media strategy to help expand the reach and engagement of Winning Pathway s mission. The intern will work closely with the Executive Director (ED) to create compelling content that highlights our programs events and community impact engaging our supporters and fostering a greater online presence.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies & campaigns across platforms (e.g. Facebook Instagram Twitter LinkedIn etc.) to increase engagement and brand awareness.
  • Work with Development Committee ED and volunteers to ensure appropriate pricing and promotion strategies for fundraising events
  • Create schedule and publish daily social media posts including written content graphics videos and stories.
  • Monitor and respond to social media interactions including comments and messages to foster community engagement and build relationships with followers.
  • Track and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of all campaigns and make datadriven recommendations for improvement.


Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing Communications Public Relations or a related field (recent graduates or those with equivalent experience are also encouraged to apply).
  • Passion for social media and digital marketing with a desire to use these skills to further the mission of a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook Instagram Twitter LinkedIn) and social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite Buffer or similar).
  • Strong writing skills with attention to grammar and detail and the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Basic understanding of graphic design tools (e.g. Canva Adobe Spark) and video editing tools is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and staying current with social media trends and digital marketing best practices.
  • Passion for nonprofit work and an understanding of the social sector is preferred.
