We are currently seeking skilled Marine Painters: Sandblaster for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.

Note : This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.

Overview :

Perform blasting operations to prepare shipboard surfaces for painting and coating.

Responsibilities :

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment.
\n
• Remove rust, scale, and coatings from ship structures.
\n
• Prepare surfaces for painting and preservation.
\n
• Follow environmental and safety requirements.
\n

Qualifications :

\n
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
\n
• 2+ years of blasting/painting experience.
\n
• Knowledge of PPE and safety protocols.
\n
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
\n
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.
\n
