Description:
You will be the Production Floor Manufacturing Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Microelectronics team. Our team is responsible for supporting the production of Microelectronics assemblies in Orlando, Florida.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Production Floor Manufacturing Engineer Staff - Microelectronics, you will be responsible for applying lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields, investigating root cause of failures/defects, and implementing corrective action to support continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Translating complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into easy-to-follow work instructions for the production floor
  • \n
  • Improving the overall process of the build using complex, cutting-edge technologies and automation
  • \n
  • Exercising technical background to solve complex problems with troubleshooting and new development of processes for ever-changing products
  • \n
  • Creating/updating work instructions, manufacturing sketches, and other shop floor documentation to support production needs
  • \n
  • Coordinating shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
  • \n

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / STEM-related discipline (Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
• 10+ Years of Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Environments
• Project management experience
• Experience working with cross-functional groups
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve complex problems and issues as they arise
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action tools
• Experience with precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment
• Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications
• SAP and APRISO experience
• Windchill PLM experience
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Familiarity with micro-electronic components (Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, RF, and Electro-Optic)
• Knowledge of microelectronics manufacturing processes and equipment, including epoxy dispense, component pick & place, wire bonding, ribbon bonding, wafer fabrication, etc.
• Experience writing technical work instructions
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
