We deliver tailored solutions, tested leadership, and trusted results to enable national security missions worldwide. **Job Description** Overview We are seeking a talented and dedicated linguist to join our team in support of the Texas Department of Public Safety - Criminal Investigations Division (CID). The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and be proficient in **Spanish** or another language, in addition to having excellent command of the English language. Essential Job Duties + Conduct linguistic analysis and research on assigned projects. + Translate and interpret documents, conversations, and audio recordings from the target language(s) to English and vice versa. + Provide linguistic expertise and support across various departments. + Collaborate with other linguists and professionals to ensure accuracy and consistency in language use. + Participate in language assessment tests and evaluations. **Qualifications** Minimum Requirements + Proficiency in Spanish or another language, demonstrated through a language assessment. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. + Strong analytical and research skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Good to excellent computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and other relevant software. Preferred Qualifications + Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred in Linguistics, Foreign Languages, or a related field preferred. + Experience in translation, interpretation, or linguistic research. + Familiarity with linguistic software tools and databases. + Knowledge of cultural nuances and sensitivity in language use. **Additional Information** **Work Environment** + Must be willing to work weekends. + Must work flexible schedule **Working at SOSi** All interested individuals will receive consideration and will not be discriminated against for any reason.
