Role: Litigation Legal Assistant
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $75K - $90K annually, with most offers typically between $75K - $85K. Final compensation depends on experience, education, and market factors, with flexibility for the right candidate.
- Bonus Potential: Eligible for an annual discretionary year-end bonus, based on individual and firm-wide performance. Pay increases are also reviewed annually.
Benefits: - Hybrid-Remote Schedule: New hires are required to be onsite for the first 60 days, after which they may work remotely two days per week. Wednesday is a mandatory in-office day, with other days coordinated with attorneys.
- Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Parking: Parking is not covered, but the firm provides a $100/month stipend for commuting or parking.
- Paid Time Off (PTO):
- First three years: 17 days per year (accrued)
- After three years: 22 days per year
- PTO includes both vacation and sick leave.
- 401K: The firm contributes 7.5% automatically to your 401K, regardless of employee contribution—a significant perk.

Must-Have Experience: Candidates must have experience with Oregon court filing procedures. Interview Process: - First Round: Video interview with the Practice Assistant Supervisor and the Portland Office Administrator.
- Second Round: In-person interview with the Litigation Attorneys.
Essential Responsibilities: - Legal Document Preparation: Draft, revise, finalize, and file legal documents. Prepare attorney and court working notebooks.
- Word Processing: Type and format complex legal documents, proofread, and apply document comparison techniques.
- Timekeeping and Billing: Enter and proofread time entries, manage billing processes, and resolve related issues.
- Client Service: Communicate with clients, coordinate travel, and manage client-related tasks.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the practice assistant team and provide coverage when needed.
- File and Document Management: Organize, maintain, and manage both electronic and physical files.
- Administrative Support: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, track CLE credits, and ensure compliance with firm policies.
Qualifications: - Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications in a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of three years in legal administrative support, preferably in litigation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with law firm software is desirable.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
