Position Summary
The Law Clerk supports the firm’s attorneys by conducting legal research and analysis, drafting memoranda and reports, and assisting with the preparation of legal documents. This role is integral to helping attorneys organize case strategies, understand key legal issues, and move matters forward efficiently. Workdays are flexible around school schedule. Must be a 2L or 3L.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

Legal Research & Analysis

• Conduct thorough legal research on issues relevant to active cases.
  
• Analyze statutes, case law, administrative regulations, and legal precedent.
  
• Summarize findings in clear, concise, and well-organized memoranda.
  

Drafting & Document Preparation

• Prepare legal memoranda, research summaries, and case-related reports.
  
• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery documents, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
  

Case Support & Administrative Tasks

• Conduct non-legal factual research related to case development.
  
• Organize and maintain research materials, case files, and supporting documents.
  
• Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  
• Perform general administrative tasks as needed to support attorneys and the legal team.
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in strategy discussions and case planning meetings when requested.
  
• Handle other duties or projects as assigned by supervising attorneys.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a law firm, legal clinic, or litigation-focused environment.
  
• Familiarity with personal injury, workers’ compensation, or third-party liability matters.
  
• Experience assisting with drafting pleadings, discovery, or case summaries.
  
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex legal issues.
  
• Proficiency in organizing case materials and managing multiple research assignments simultaneously.
  
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with attorneys and staff.

Must be a 2L or 3L.
