Project Supervisor Landscape Construction
Skills Required:
· Project Management : Supervising all stages of landscape construction, from planning to execution.
· Team Leadership : Managing construction crews, assigning tasks, and ensuring quality workmanship.
· Budget & Scheduling : Estimating costs, preparing budgets, and keeping projects on track.
· Client & Contractor Coordination : Communicating with clients, landscape architects, and contractors to ensure project goals are met.
· Safety & Compliance : Enforcing safety regulations and resolving any on-site issues.
· Material & Equipment Management : Ordering and overseeing the use of materials, plants, and equipment.
Primary liaison between office and field; maintain up-to-date progress intel regarding each job; able to oversee soil, work, planting, irrigation install and maintenance as needed. This is a hands-on, boots on the ground in the field and time in the office type of job. Identify need for change orders and document to both owner and estimator as required.
Project Supervisor to oversee one to three ongoing projects. Responsible for daily ordering of supplies to keep job productive, without interruption. Excellent planning and execution. Must have strong experience in leading a construction team, including being an effective communicator. You will be responsible for the efficient use of our people, time, and resources. Patient teacher/trainer and comfortable with sharing knowledge. Able to read blueprints.
Requirements: Some basic Spanish. Solid background in Construction, have basic construction skills and understanding of use of basic tools. Understanding of grading, carpentry, concrete, irrigation and minor electrical are required. Use of Builders transit / laser level, carpentry tools, common hand tools, copper pipe sweating, concrete mixes and understand concrete mix formulations. Some plant knowledge is helpful.
We will only seriously consider someone with a minimum of 5 years commercial construction work experience involving some management. You must have a good driving record as we need a DMV printout for driving.
