We’re an early stage venture backed and fast moving start‑up coined one of the “Most Innovative Startups in SportsTech” and looking for a Junior Product Manager who wants to grow inside a high‑velocity sports‑tech environment. Role Overview The Junior Product Manager will support the execution of PLYR’s product roadmap across mobile, web, and API/SDK products. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, technically curious, sports‑savvy, and eager to learn how to operate inside a data‑driven product organization. You’ll work directly with senior leadership (CEO, CTO, COO) and engineering/design teams to ensure product work is clearly defined, properly tracked, and delivered with quality and speed. Responsibilities Product Execution Assist in defining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria across consumer app features and B2B/API offerings. Maintain detailed, up‑to‑date Jira boards; ensure tickets are complete, clear, and prioritized. Support sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and QA processes. Track progress, call out blockers, and follow up with engineering or design to keep projects moving. User Experience + Research Document user flows, edge cases, and feature behaviors for both mobile and web environments. Gather qualitative feedback from users, partners, and internal stakeholders; synthesize insights into actionable recommendations. Support usability testing, competitor research, and product benchmarking. Data + Quality Monitor analytics dashboards to identify trends, issues, and opportunities related to notifications, user funnels, and engagement. Perform structured QA testing on feature releases, backend integrations, and notification systems. Help verify live‑data triggers for player alerts across leagues and sports. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Coordinate with engineering, design, marketing, BD, and external partners to ensure alignment on product goals. Support creation of product documentation, pitch materials, and internal briefs for new features or partner pilots. Assist in managing timelines for integrations with partners (sports data providers, sportsbooks, RSNs, streaming apps, etc.). Qualifications 1–2+ years in product, project management, operations, or relevant internships (sports tech a major plus). Strong organizational skills with experience managing tasks, docs, and deadlines. Familiarity with Jira, Notion, Figma, or similar product/PM tools. Basic understanding of software development concepts and agile workflows. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Passion for sports, tech, and real‑time engagement ecosystems. What Success Looks Like Clean, accurate Jira boards and documentation that improve clarity and speed.
