Our client is a technology-focused investment bank known for delivering strategic advisory and capital solutions to help businesses achieve their growth objectives. They are seeking a Business Development Analyst to join their dynamic team and play a key role in driving deal origination and client engagement.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Analyst, you will support senior bankers in identifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, and preparing client-facing materials. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain exposure to high-profile transactions and build a strong foundation in investment banking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Analysis:

    • Conduct research on industries, companies, and market trends to identify potential clients and strategic opportunities.
    • Prepare industry reports and competitive analyses for internal and client use.
  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Management:

    • Assist in sourcing and qualifying prospective clients for M&A, capital raising, and advisory services.
    • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and track pipeline progress.
  • Pitch & Presentation Support:

    • Collaborate with senior team members to develop pitch books, proposals, and marketing materials.
    • Prepare company profiles and financial summaries for client meetings.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Monitor business development metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
    • Support strategic planning with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or business development (internship experience acceptable).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation concepts.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, PitchBook).
