Some of your responsibilities include the following:

• Be a part of the team creating the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects in the Laboratory, Health Care, and Commercial sectors, among others.
• Utilize Revit in producing drawings for air and water equipment and distribution systems.
• Follow design criteria to perform calculations (including thermal load, pump head, and fan static pressure), select equipment, and develop construction documents for high performance building systems.
• Assure that design tasks are complete, accurate and in accordance with good engineering practices.
• Perform field survey of existing conditions, attend construction field visits, meet with clients and vendors.
• Participate in A-E and contractor coordination of specific design aspects during project development and construction administration.
• Work closely with other team members on multi-discipline projects, including with plumbing, electrical etc.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience designing HVAC systems
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of Revit / BIM
• Communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
• Background in science & technology or health care sectors is preferred
• Professional commitment to sustainability (LEED accreditation is a plus)
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred
• Willingness to pursue a PE license
