Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HP NonStop Tandem and GoldenGate Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our NonStop Tandem databases, ensuring high availability and performance, and implementing robust data replication solutions using GoldenGate.

Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration:
- Administer and maintain HP NonStop Tandem databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Monitor database performance and conduct regular maintenance activities, including backups and recovery processes.
- Able to install, configure, and then problem solve on the NonStop.
- Worked with SQL/MP and Enscribe databases.
- Migration to cloud database experience is a plus.

GoldenGate Replication:
- Implement and manage GoldenGate replication processes to ensure real-time data availability and integrity across systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to GoldenGate replication, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Highly skilled in GoldenGate configuration.

Performance Tuning:
- Analyze database performance metrics and optimize database configurations for improved efficiency.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning activities to support business growth.
- Design automated database monitoring system.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with development teams to support database-related application development and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on database performance and replication status for management review.
- Assist with SOX and PCI audit compliances.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with HP NonStop Tandem systems.
- Proficiency in GoldenGate replication technologies and methodologies.

Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling principles.
- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in NonStop environments.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery processes and high availability strategies.

Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications related to HP NonStop and Oracle GoldenGate.
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions and hybrid environments.
