Job Title: Grinder/Polisher

Location: Saint Paul, MN
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Range: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Grinder/Polisher to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role focuses on finishing stainless steel components to a high-quality standard using a variety of grinding and polishing tools. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety and collaboration.

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

Proficient in using grinding and polishing equipment, including belt sanders, disc grinders, and finishing tools.
Skilled in restoring stainless steel welds to a #4 finish.
Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure part accuracy and quality.
Experience working with hand and power tools in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Familiarity with custom manufacturing processes is a plus.

Quality & Inspection

Ability to inspect workpieces for defects, imperfections, or deviations from specifications.
Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting quality control standards.

Documentation & Reporting

Accurately record materials used and time spent on tasks for production tracking.
Comfortable following structured documentation practices.

Teamwork & Communication

Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.

Safety & Physical Requirements

Consistently follow safety policies and procedures.
Capable of lifting and handling materials weighing 15–50 lbs.
Physically able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related grinding, polishing, or metal finishing role.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
