We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grinder to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in ID/OD grinding, hobbing, and other related machining processes. As a Permanent Grinder, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining grinding equipment, ensuring the highest quality of output, and adhering to strict safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and is passionate about precision and quality in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
1. Operate and maintain grinding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and output.
2. Use precision measurement tools to inspect and verify dimensions of finished workpieces.
3. Follow blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to produce parts that meet exact specifications.
4. Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
5. Inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and perform routine maintenance or repair as needed.
6. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the grinding process and make necessary adjustments to prevent damage to parts or machine.
7. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve work processes, enhance product quality, and increase efficiency.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in ID/OD grinding, hobbing, or related machining processes.
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
4. Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain grinding equipment.
5. Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools and their usage.
6. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Commitment to adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
