Fashion Design Internship - Paid Opportunity

Rare Editions, a leading name in fashion-forward girls' dresses and childrenswear, is excited to offer a paid internship opportunity to creative and passionate individuals aiming to make their mark in the fashion industry. This is an exceptional chance to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the design of childrenswear that captivates and inspires.

Schedule: Looking for immediate start. Part-time, 2-3 days per week (flexible to accommodate class schedules) With possibility for more days over the summer. Option to continue at a reduced scheduled when classes resume in September.

Rate of Pay: $16.50/hr

Internship Responsibilities :

- Assist in the design and conceptualization of new childrenswear collections.

- Participate in market research to identify upcoming fashion trends and consumer preferences.

- Collaborate with the design team to develop mood boards and color stories for upcoming seasons.

- Provide support in creating technical sketches and garment specifications.

- Assist with fabric and trim selections.

- Attend fittings and provide feedback on garment construction and design adjustments.

- Contribute to the creation of presentation materials for internal reviews.

- Perform administrative duties as needed to support the design team.

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.

- A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, creativity, and understanding of fashion trends.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is preferred.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Keen attention to detail and an eye for color, texture, and pattern.

- A passion for childrenswear and an understanding of the Rare Editions brand aesthetic.
